Camp Moomba: June 28 - July 4, 2009
Our
12th Annual Camp Moomba summer program will be held at YMCA Camp Howdy
located on the shores of Indian Arm in Port Moody, BC. This first rate
facility paired with Moomba’s excellent programming and topnotch staff
combine to make Camp Moomba the experience of a lifetime!
Leadership
Camp Moomba is offering a leadership program for campers 15-16 years of
age. Camp Moomba has made a commitment to fostering leadership
development within our campers. Participants will work with one another
in safe yet challenging activities learning how to instruct and guide
others to success in all areas around camp. Participants with self
discipline, a strong sense of initiative and a keen desire to learn
will find this elite program rewarding.
Moomba Adventures
Once again we are pleased to offer a teen adventure program for campers
14+. Campers will be introduced to a wide variety of experiences that
will build self-esteem and self-confidence while on a wilderness
excursion. Team building, friendships, and leadership skills will be
developed in a focused outdoor environment. Trip routes are carefully
selected to match
the ability, level of challenge and safety of our campers.
